Dallas Market Center is seeking a Fabric Gallery Showroom Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overall management, revenue, operation, and buyer/exhibitor relations for the IHDC Fabric Gallery.
Position Description:
- Creatively maximizes sales to maximize retention of exhibitors and maintain 100% occupancy.
- Nurtures and maintains positive relationships with showroom exhibitors and prospects to support and promote loyalty to DMC; maximizes relationships to increase exhibitor retention.
- Maintains knowledgeable level of showroom products/lines to effectively assist buyers in writing orders, understanding terms, selling samples and maintaining up-to-date monthly order logs; ensures collateral material is available and distributed. Maximizes relationships to increase buyer loyalty to DMC and frequency of visits.
- Responsible for keeping and timely distribution of weekly, monthly and year-over-year reporting.
- Responsible for keeping HG management up to date on Gallery issues, performance and any activity that positively or negatively impacts the gallery through weekly meetings and on-going communication.
- Effectively oversees on-site management and operations of showroom by coordinating with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Maintenance, etc., to maximize buyer experience and ensure showroom is presentable and prepared for daily traffic.
- Ensure Gallery is neat and well-merchandised at all times – manage tenant merchandising activity to minimize disruption and preserve buyer experience.
- Ensures proper staffing of the Gallery during market and supervises staff activity and performance. Adhere to posted business hours and never leave Gallery unattended.
- Coordinates and manages every aspect of new exhibitor move-ins; ensures exhibitors are informed and follow move-in procedures; coordinates freight receipt, signage and marketing needs
- Nurtures and maintains positive relationships with designers and buyers – proactively introducing them to Fabric Gallery new resources.
- Maintains and updates current exhibitor roster with Protective Services and assists exhibitors with after-hours access to building and showroom.
- Works with Leasing and Marketing Department to promote the Gallery through press releases, special events, brochures, website content, etc., for external promotion of the showroom.
- Assists when needed with leasing and accounting on collection issues among tenants.
- Attends local design events as representative to keep the Gallery top of mind among this community.
- Works with leasing to identify opportunities and gallery needs to help curate the best possible Gallery Offering.

Positions Supervised:
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of professional sales and showroom management experience
- 5+ years’ experience or working knowledge of residential and commercial interior design industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
- Office Environment- Ability to sit for vast majority of work shift
- Market Environment – Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during markets
