Brazil Chamber Partners with Dallas Market Center for Nearshoring America Trade Show

—December 9-11 global expo in Dallas to feature trade promotion for largest country in Latin America—

DALLAS – August 6, 2024 – Dallas Market Center announces a partnership with CISBRA, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services, to collaborate on trade promotion and to develop a trade mission for Nearshoring America, the new international expo and support services designed to explore and facilitate nearshoring production services for gift, home furnishings, lighting, and fashion accessories companies. Nearshoring America EXPO, to take place at Dallas Market Center from December 9-11, 2024, will connect brands and their representatives with vetted factories and supply chain service providers from Mexico and Latin America.

John Cuttino, CISBRA's director of international business, stated: "Our goal is to connect qualified exporters in Brazil with large-scale importers in the U.S. to establish supply alternatives that make their supply chains more competitive, sustainable, resilient and culturally and environmentally friendly.”

The collaboration is aimed at engaging Brazilian companies as Nearshoring America exhibitors and potential suppliers to U.S. importers. Participating companies will be announced at a later date.

"We are thrilled to be part of Brazil’s internationalization agenda as it prepares to host the G20 Summit in November," said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. "Our partnership with CISBRA aims to create a bridge for Brazilian manufacturers, facilitating immediate connections and trade channels into the U.S. wholesale market."

Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, has embarked upon a number of initiatives designed to make the country a key player in international sourcing, particularly for the manufacturing of consumer products. Through a series of forward-thinking policies and substantial infrastructure investments, Brazil is attracting foreign investment, improving its logistics network and creating a business-friendly environment. These efforts are poised to transform the country into a manufacturing hub for industries like furniture, lighting, home décor, fashion accessories and apparel.

Brazil's strategic policies and substantial infrastructure investments are setting the stage for a significant shift toward nearshoring consumer product manufacturing. By creating a conducive environment for business, enhancing logistics and focusing on sustainability, Brazil is positioning itself as a premier destination for foreign investment in manufacturing.

Exhibitors at the inaugural Nearshoring America EXPO will include an invitation-only showcase of factories and supply chain providers that have been pre-selected based on their history, operating experience and delivery. In addition, supporting enterprises including sourcing agents, trading companies, shelter companies, and design and production consultants will be represented. The exhibiting companies will be thoroughly vetted to ensure they are legitimately capable of supporting our industry importer partners. Expected participants are from Mexico, joined by other countries in Central America and South America such as Brazil and Colombia. The show floor will feature a uniform presentation of each participant showcasing their production and/or supply chain services capabilities and each exhibitor will be prepared to immediately engage with attendees regarding terms and conditions of product development and production.

Attendees at the expo will include importers of gift, home furnishings and apparel accessories seeking OEM product sources, project manufacturing services and full-scale product development partnerships.

In addition to showcasing vetted exhibitors, the Nearshoring America EXPO will be supported by a series of seminars and symposia focused on nearshoring in Mexico and Latin America. In support of the expo, a Nearshoring America INDEX will be created that includes an exclusive and vetted list of factories and supply chain service providers organized by country. Finally, a Nearshoring newsletter is currently being distributed that includes background, research, commentary, and timely topics for the business of nearshoring.
